AARO's Director Dr. Kosloski: "there are a few triangles that have been seen by local law enforcement"
Dr. Kosloski, the new head of the Pentagon's UFO group, the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, announced the establisment of a public reporting system, scientific journal and workshops.
With communication often tightly controlled by the Department of Defense and only a handful of interviews given to the public apart from summonses to hearings by Congress, this interview was a rare opportunity to learn more about the current AARO projects.
The Pentagon is known to organise private press conferences with selected media on an invitation-only basis, especially regarding inflammatory subjects such as unidentified anomalous phenomena. One might question where the line is between communication and information management, and grooming journalists, but nonetheless, it is rare for an active AARO official to engage in such an open-hearted conversation.
Such a communication operation could be seen as a response to proposals by elected officials to disband AARO and transfer its mandate to the FBI due to the Pentagon UFO office's lack of communication.
According to Dr Kosloski, one of the most anticipated developments should be coming up this year, the creation of a public reporting portal to gather witness testimonies :
We are going to be opening up to the public soon and have a public reporting mechanism, hopefully by the end of this fiscal year.
Dr. Kosloski also declared that the AARO was investigating a number of strange cases including orbs and triangles :
As an example of a couple of those cases that merit further analysis that are helping us refine our hypotheses, there are a few triangles that have been seen by local law enforcement.
In this case, a very, very black triangle. A triangular prism. So it looks like a pie slice, hovering about the size of a Prius, about 40 to 60 meters away. So as the officer was driving up to investigate underneath a glowing orb…
He slammed on his brakes and this thing the size of a Prius, blacker than black, reared up 45 degrees and then shot up into the sky faster than anything he'd ever seen.
And as it was leaving his sight, it shot out red and blue, fireworks, flares so bright it lit up the inside of his vehicle. He didn't see any propulsion, no wind, didn't hear anything over the sound of his own vehicle.
There have been cases of large orbs seen hovering.
It happened almost instantaneously and he was terrified. He didn't know what was happening. He knew enough to notice it and respond by putting on his brakes.
In this case, I don't think he was skeptical. He was terrified for his life. And so he was just getting back to a safe position.
While on the phone with his sergeant the whole time. Going backwards.
In that same region of the country a couple law enforcement officers had seen glowing orbs Few hundred feet above the ground a few miles away.
Dr. Kosloski also explained how AARO helped law enforcement with their UAP investigation:
We're going to be providing a few kits to primarily federal law enforcement so that as they're conducting their normal job if they come across the UAP they'll be able to gather quality data for us.
Answering a quesiton on disinformation campaign, he stated :
Any unknown phenomenon is an opportunity for an adversary to be operating, and that's really one of the reasons that our office is inside of the pentagon. It provides us access to all the information about our programs which we would call blue programs, as well as what we know about potential adversary programs… so US government blue, as in The US Air Force.
He also explained that his office received more than 1800 reports :
We're going to be investing heavily in automation machine learning artificial intelligence that will be able to triage use natural language processing look for correlations across that data and feed into investigations
He also announced the publication of a scientific journal and future projects:
We're gonna have a scientific journal coming out in fiscal year 26
We're gonna have a variety of workshops, and work on engaging with the citizen scientists as well as more activists.
Sadly, whenever he described the anomalous cases his office was investigating, he was often interrupted by the laughter of Dr Tyson and his co-host Paul Mercurio, who seemed sceptical about how strange his account was. They also spent half the interview discussing cases that AARO stated had been explained, even though they couldn’t be sure what the recorded object was.
